M/s. Orissa Stevedores Limited (OSL), Vizag, had created a new record in Vizag Port, in loading of the granite blocks of 679 MT in one hook on December 10,2001,in the morning shift in the vessel of mv.”Windsor Castle”. The earlier record was 430 MT established in the year 2000-01. The above said firm has also created another record for the first time of its kind in Vizag Port by unloading 140 number timber logs weighing about 532 M.T. in one hook and in using only one gang from the vessel mv. Truimph Chittakong on December3, 2001.The source at the Port Said this record is first of its kind in Visakhapatnam Port Trust (VPT).
